I liked the game overall. The style was refreshing, the music was good, and I liked the combat. The jumping physics, however, were a bit lacking. I found myself dying to jumping puzzles almost as much as bosses, and I was playing on "hard".
What else I didn't really like was the ending. I liked Vandheer, and I liked the fact that he wasn't a good guy. There are stories dating back to the dawn of man that end with "the good guy wins", and I was honestly looking forward to reestablishing the evil empire. When I saw the ending originally, I was a bit disappointed, but I guess I understood. There was enough foreshadowing, you didn't just pull the ending out of thin air.
Then I tried the game again, starting off with the lightning sword (the only one you couldn't get on the first go), and hoping that, since I could actually get all 4 blades and could, allegedly, destroy Blackmist... Well, I was hoping for maybe an alternate ending.

You have captured the exact feelings I had while playing this game. I gave up on level 4, and it was on easy! That game is cruel...
For example, I just LOVE how it turns out the tutorial level is just your dojo or something, and the boss, WHO IS NOT AFRAID OF BEATING OF YOU TO DEATH, is just a friend of yours who is "testing" you. What the hell, man???
I thank every deity from Alla to Vishnu every time I find the resurrection scroll, 'cause that's about the only chance I got at even looking at the next boss.

The first 2 creeped me out and early in the 3rd one I ended up turning off the sound so I could see the rest of it. And this was in the morning too.

"Perfect, but I do have one question..."
If Grimoire is a detective...then where is his hat?

"Very nice. Hard mode all but impossible though..."
I don't say that simply as a sore loser, either. I played hard mode and divided 695 squares and chances are that I would've kept going too, but the game became so laggy I couldn't move anymore.
Regardless, the concept is fun. Give the graphics a boost and add more levels and powerups and I think this could find a place near the top.

The gameplay was good, and I like how objects and the building itself has a durability.
My suggestion would be to add a few more weapons (Though I DID notice the shotgun appeared after a few levels) and a difference between the sword and katana attacks, maybe add combos. The same thing everyone suggests.
My personal suggestions (what I'd like to see, personally) are
-ability to throw agent smiths at each other, or down holes.
-have falling down holes cause damage (if it doesn't already).
-make the antennas into a weapon? They don't seem to do alot but you can still hit them for some reason...
-I've always liked having health bars above myself and my enemies, just to see (more easily) who's about to die.
-Maybe a new weapon every few levels (like I said, I've noticed the shotgun but I didn't see anything else, did I die too soon?) or perhaps a boss at some point?
Overall, very nice game, however.

Thanks for your comment. V2.0 gives you ability to throw agents at eachother. The antenna becomes a weapon if you break it. Your other suggestions maybe next update.

I know alot of people are complaining about the aiming syste4m, but I actaully appreciate it. I mean yes the enemy is getting off alot more shots on me but it adds a level of difficulty when not all of your shots are dead on.
I also like the enemy AI for the game. They seem to know your presence from far away and can actually jump to try to hit you. There were a few "extreme" cases though. I forgot the level but at some point one of them had a more advanced laser rifle, the one with the yellow beam? Well I jumped and he just rapid fired 3 or 4 of those at me and I went from 50->-8.
Regardless, its a really fun game, and I'm sure eventually I'll finish it. I have the habit of taking a break whenever I get a game over though (wrote down the codes thankfully)

Yes, the score you gave may have been a little inflated (most people on new grounds think communism is teh 1337) but none the less its a brilliant flash movie, make sequels!

I liked it, jokes were "family friendly" but still relatively funny, laughed pretty hard when i heard the "if I only had a brain" part. Sorry to be picky but how was an orc there with night elves and humans?(orb of deception maybe?) But you're making all us warlocks look like idiots! Include infernals next time!
Author's Response:
Cause this is a movie, and not the video game. You know there's several places in the game where humans and orcs are working together, among the evil warlocks for example, which is actually what these are supposed to be.
Plus, it's supposed to be a joke, the same as "Why is there a night elf here?"
